Skydive 2016

Join Team CAAT to take on this amazing challenge where the sky really is the limit!

Date: Sunday 25th September 2016
Location: Perranporth Airfield, St Agnes
How much?: £50 registration fee and £395 fundraising

Imagine sitting at the edge of an open aircraft doorway 10,000 feet in the air. Imagine leaning out of that doorway and letting go, freefalling through the clouds at 120mph. Imagine the canopy opening as you gently float towards the stunning Cornish landscape below. Imagine yourself back on the ground telling your friends and family "I did it!". Imagine the difference your fundraising will make to the patients we rescue.

You'll be one of many other skydivers jumping on the same day for CAAT - with many of them trying it for the first time! If this is you, don't worry - the instructors at the Cornish Parachute Club are all fully qualified and highly experienced so you'll be in safe hands from start to finish. A tandem skydive is the easiest way to experience the rush of a 10,000ft freefall jump without having to go through hours of training and it's a great way to fundraise for Cornwall Air Ambulance!

Who Can Take Part?

You don't need to have any experience with skydiving to take part in this amazing challenge as training is given on the day by experienced skydive instructors! You'll most likely find yourself amongst a mixed group of participants from adrenaline junkies to first time jumpers. You must be over the age of 16 to take part. There will be charity staff there on the day and you're more than welcome to bring along friends and family to cheer you on!

Registration for this event costs £50 and then we're asking each skydiver to fundraise at least £395. This covers your jump costs and a donation to Cornwall Air Ambulance so there really is no upper limit to the amount you can fundraise! If you've never taken on any fundraising before, don't worry - we can give you lots of help and advice on how to fundraise and provide useful things like collections jars, buckets and posters to get you on your way. We're here to help you every step of the way so feel free to get in touch anytime for help or advice.

One of our supporters, Martyn, took part in the skydive in September 2015 and said "Brilliant cause and a brilliant day! Thank you to Cornwall Air Ambulance as this is probably something I wouldn't have done if I wasn't doing it for charity so it was a win win!"
