COST & FINANCING

Operational costs for the Cornwall Air Ambulance in 1987 was £250,000 and in 2007 it will cost £1,250,000.

This includes the lease of the aircraft, pilots, service engineers, spares, servicing and insurances, as well as a charge of some £440 per flying hour to cover fuel and other combustibles.

The cost of the two paramedics is paid for by the Cornwall Ambulance Service.
