Andrew Bell joined the board of trustees in summer 2008, alongside his role as deputy chairman of the Mission to Seafarers in Cornwall.

Aside from roles with other charity organisations Andrew has also served on Helston Town Council, the advisory board for the Princes Trust Volunteers, the board of Governors for Duchy Grammar School and the Cornwall Partnership NHS Trust.  

Following an education in Sydney New South Wales,  Australia, his career with the RNR after 35 years of service was rewarded with the Reserve Decoration and Clasp, and he retired as Leiutenant Commander (Naval Control of Shipping).

Andrew has managing and commissioned a number of commercial and cruising operations around the world.  

In retirement Andrew enjoys seaside gardening, dinghy sailing, scale model making - in particular ships and collecting memorabillia for his shipping scrapbook collection.
