Not all lifesavers come in the form of paramedics and Pilots, -
without the army of fund raisers backing them,, Cornwall's Air Ambulance
would have flown its last airborne mission many years age.
First
Air Ambulance Service Trust (FAAST) was formed in November 1987
when, following the Area Health Authority's decision that it could
no longer fford to meet the running costs of providing the helicopter
service, a flood of spontaneous fund raising events were held throughout
the County to help keep it flying. To augment the income being recieved
on an "ad-hoc" basis, the Trust has launched a scheme
whereby members of the public may donate a fixed amount to the Air
Ambulance by means of a Bankers Standing Order. Enough regular donations
of this kind would enable FAAST to guarantee the future of the service
on a permanent basis, proving that when seconds count - you can
count on us. Click on the forms button on the left to access the
printable forms.
If
you are also a tax payer and are making a donation please fill out
'Gift Aid Declaration' form, FAAST can reclaim the tax (currently
28p for each £1 you give).
FAAST
is also looking for people in all parts of Cornwall who would like
to join our friendly, efficient fund raising team and are prepared
to help co-ordinate fund raising intheir area or prehaps spare a
little of their time to organise regular events in support of the
Air Ambulance. If you would like to help keep this vital and sometimes
lifesaving service operating, please contact us.
