Whether you have the occasional few hours to spare or are looking for a regular volunteering role, we would be delighted to hear from you. We have a variety of opportunities available to fit around your availability, experience and skills, a few of which are listed below:
Our charity shops are essential in funding the lifeline that the helicopter offers and now is a really exciting time to get involved with the opening of several shops just in the past year alone.
There is always plenty to do in our shops with roles to suit everybody – whether you like to be the face of the charity by talking to and serving customers or would prefer to volunteer behind the scenes sorting and pricing donated items. Perhaps you see yourself as a budding Mary Portas and would enjoy arranging the window display?!
We are currently looking for volunteers in the Camborne area to help us at our new charity ‘superstore’ which opened in December– can you help? Please call Jackie Eastwood on 01726 890444 to discuss this opportunity. In particular we are also looking for Volunteer Drivers and Volunteer Drivers' Assistants - please see the role descriptions which you can download here (Driver) and here (Driver's Assistant).
We simply could not run the huge range of events we do without the support, energy and enthusiasm of our volunteers and we have a full calendar of events planned for 2012. Every day really is different – one day you might be staffing a stall at the Royal Cornwall Show, the next you might be selling raffle tickets at a Christmas Ball or marshalling at one of our sporting events.
We also need volunteers to help us in the office with a wide range of administrative tasks in preparation for the events (for example preparing collection jars/putting together fundraiser supporter packs) and we would be extremely grateful for any help you may be able to offer!
If you have experience in public speaking or giving presentations, why not use your skills to help us raise the profile of the air ambulance to your local community groups, schools and clubs? We are unable to fulfil the many speaking engagements that are offered to us each year and are keen to find more Ambassadors across the whole of Cornwall to help us spread the word about the vital work we do.
Just a few hours of your time can help keep our helicopter flying and help to save lives in Cornwall. Please click here for a volunteer application form
If you would like to volunteer or would like an informal discussion about getting involved, please contact Jackie on 01726 871222 or Jackie@cornwallairambulancetrust.org
