Craig Webster Marathon Man
08 November 2008

Craig Webster is a man with a mission....
To raise a lot of money for the Cornwall Air Ambulance.

Craig knows quite a bit about flying helicopters, and you may have seen him flying a small red Bolkow helicopter for Trinity House, supporting lighthouses from as far north as Anglesey, down to Lands End and the Scillies, the Channel Islands, Eddystone and as far east as the Needles on the Isle of Wight. One day he hopes that he might have the opportunity to train with Bond Air Services and become a HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Services) Pilot, and who knows maybe event fly the Cornwall Air Ambulance one day.....

Craig also knows the pilots and paramedics who currently work on the Cornwall Air Ambulance, and from their shared base joins in the day-to-day banter of who made the coffee yesterday, who ate all the bread, whos turn is it to buy biscuits etc. Craig also witnesses first-hand the many excellent missions that our air ambulance crew fly and is offering his support by way of entering the 7 Marathon Challenge.

It all started when he found an advertisement in a magazine.....suddenly the challenge to complete all 7 in aid of the Air Ambulance was borne in an instant. Each marathon is actually located in areas where he flies the Helicopter to Lighthouses for Trinity House, but there won’t be any cheating Craig!

You can sponsor craig on his special fundraising page he has created with Just Giving, and you can read more about him and his adventures as he completes these marathon events on his blog.
